Hello

In the high mountains I’ve felt the extremes, from joy in friendship and amazing panoramas, to fear of disaster and experiencing great distress. The contexts of my narrative may be unique, but everyone has their own challenges in life, ladders with snakes, surprises and calamities. I believe that only at times of great risk can we learn how to trust, to know not only another's soul, but our own as well. Exposure to such places and times has taught me about myself, and that although I may have worth, I'm also incredibly small. Having seen death or disaster so close up, the rest of life can appear mundane, and this creates its own challenges in staying grounded. Achieving some balance and to strive for grace is a mantra that I hope to follow.
